People across the globe are hunkering down in response to the COVID-19 global pandemic. As we are forced to spend more time indoors, I want to share with you my TOP 5 CRICUT PROJECTS that are perfect for while we remain indoors for an extended period of time. Crafting has always brought me such peace and tranquility, so hopefully these ideas will inspire you to take out your Cricut supplies and enjoy some good old fashioned DIY time! Here are my favorite projects!
Having a space for children to get their bodies moving and energy out is as easy as vinyl, your Cricut Explore Air 2 , and some wall space! I created this space within my home to give my 3 year old daughter an area to work on skills she practices regularly at Physical Therapy. Using the Cricut Design Space I was able to transform my playroom into a space for her to work on push-ups, wall crosswalks, jumping, squatting, counting, letter recognition, skipping, hopping, and so much more! Best of all, you can peel the vinyl off when you are ready to change up the activities! The Cricut Design Space now has 1,000 new images so there are tons of fun options to choose from! See below how I utilize each component of this space and check out my Instagram @thelimitlessclassroom for more fun ideas!
The great thing about creating custom shirts is you can use any shirt from your closet! No need to go to the store, simply look through your clothes and select a piece that needs an upgrade! Whether you are a mom, dad, child, grandparent etc. who doesn’t love a customized shirt? Angela over at Lifestyle & Trends Curator put together an amazing blog post outlying the step by step process in creating shirts using the Explore Air 2 & Cricut EasyPress 2.
A job that has been on my “to-do” list for quite some time now is organizing my pantry! I am more excited than ever to get started thanks to this fabulous idea from Jen over at The Suburban Mom. She turned her pantry into a functional, organized, and incredibly stunning space. She created DIY labels using the Cricut Maker and the font “Babette.” Check out the beautiful after picture of her pantry and gorgeous her food storage looks!
While you are organizing the panty, you might also want to check what your desk drawers look like! If they’re anything like mine they might need some DIY/TLC if you know what I mean! Lela over at Organized *Ish had a brilliant idea for keeping those messy drawers looking good by creating vinyl labels for her desk drawers! These labels make it clear as pie where pens, scissors, tape and all other important work-space items go. Thank you so much Lela for sharing such a wonderful idea!
Creating a milestone blanket (for your own child or as a gift) is a great way to create a personalized memory for your little one. With this blanket you can document their tiny bodies as they grow, and it is a beautiful reminder of that particular moment in time. The very talented Sydney over at Tastefully Frugal has outlined the entire process for you making it so simple, she even linked her exact Design Space for you to use! Better yet, she also found a beautiful white blanket on Amazon for only $7 to make this project so inexpensive! Imagine how much you are saving by not purchasing a personalized blanket and crafting one instead!
